About Rivian
While a lot of startups have thrown their hats into the electric vehicle ring with ambitious plans, Rivian is one of the few startups that has followed through on its plans. The all-electric startup is headquartered in California and started bringing electric vehicles to market in 2022. On top of producing electric vehicles for consumers, Rivian also manufacturers electric delivery vans for Amazon. Unlike most automakers that make EVs, Rivian focuses on offering vehicles meant for shoppers looking to spend some time outdoors. The automaker’s unique quad-motor configuration gives its vehicles excellent off-roading capability on top of strong performance. Other unique features include a storage area that runs the full width of the vehicle, an onboard air compressor, a built-in removable speaker, a flashlight that’s built into the door pocket, an under-bed storage compartment, and a built-in truck bed cover. Rivian launched its lineup with two vehicles: the R1T pickup truck and R1S SUV. The R1T was the first all-electric pickup truck on sale in the U.S. Both electric vehicles have up to 835 horsepower and more than 350 miles of range. While Rivian’s electric vehicles are well regarded for their performance, unique features, and distinctive styling, the automaker, like many other startups, has faced production issues. While Rivian has focused on the R1S and R1T for the past few years, the automaker is getting ready to introduce a compact SUV called the R2 by 2026.Rivian Body Styles For Sale
