About Cadillac
Cadillac is General Motors’ flagship brand and has been hard at work on returning to the days when American brands led the world in luxury. Since its beginning over 120 years ago, Cadillac has put luxury first. A lot has changed since then, as Cadillac’s modern story has been split between doing things the old way with large cars that have even larger engines to moving toward bold designs, sporty dynamics, and cutting-edge technology.
In the 1990s, Cadillac focused on keeping old models such as the Seville, Eldorado, Catera, and DeVille alive. Things changed in the new millenium when Cadillac introduced newer CTS, CT6, ATS, XT5, and Escalade models. In the modern era, Cadillac’s luxury vehicles include sporty sedans such as the CT4 and CT5, while upscale SUVs such as the XT4, XT5, and XT6 give the brand smaller options below the iconic Escalade.
Cadillac’s modern vehicles come with advanced tech features such as Super Cruise, which was the world’s first hands-free driver-assist system, and enormous OLED screens that measure up to 38 inches in size. With the release of the 2014 ELR, Cadillac was one of the first luxury automakers to introduce a plug-in hybrid vehicle. While Cadillac has been slow to follow up on the ELR, the brand has introduced upscale electric vehicles such as the Lyriq SUV and six-figure Celestiq.
