About Bugatti
The preeminent supercar automaker, Bugatti, is a French brand that’s known for some of the most powerful, luxurious, and fastest cars in the world. Since its inception, Bugatti has made an extremely limited number of vehicles that push the boundaries for automobiles. In 1998, the company became a part of Volkswagen, but then merged with Croatian EV startup Rimac in 2021. Bugatti’s only had three main models since 2000. The Veyron was introduced as an all-new model in 2006 and was on sale until 2015. Bugatti made roughly 25 different special edition versions of the Veyron over its lifespan, with the hypercar also spawning more performance-oriented models such as the Grand Sport and Super Sport variants. Beyond its stunning design and blistering performance, the Veyron stood out for having an 8.0-liter quad-turbo W16 engine that was rated at 1,200 horsepower. In 2016, Bugatti came out with the Chiron, which is the Veyron’s successor. It took Bugatti roughly six years to manufacture and sell all 500 units of the hypercar. Just like the Veyron, Bugatti has introduced even more performance-oriented models that are based on the Chiron such as the Chiron Super Sport, Chiron Pur Sport, Bolide, and Divo. With Bugatti becoming a part of Rimac’s portfolio, the automaker is set to introduce more electrified vehicles in the future. Before that happens, Bugatti will come out with the Mistral, which is based on the Chiron and will be the final W16-powered vehicle from the brand.Shop Used on CARFAX
