About BMW
Since its introduction, BMW has become synonymous with performance. Regardless of body style, the German luxury brand has found a way to inject athletic handling, strong straight-line performance, and driver enjoyment into nearly all of its vehicles. They’ve garnered attention recently for their bold designs and cutting-edge tech features.
BMW continues to offer a well-rounded lineup of vehicles with mainstays such as the 3-Series, 5-Series, X3, and X5, but has expanded to smaller segments with the 2-Series and sporty SUVs with options such as the X4 and X6 that have coupe-inspired rooflines. Of course, shoppers looking for maximum performance will find a well-stocked lineup of M-badged vehicles with options such as the M2, M3, M4, M5, M8, and even high-performance SUVs such as the X3 M, X4 M, X5 M, X6 M, and XM.
BMW has also been working on expanding its lineup of electrified vehicles recently, but was one of the first luxury automakers to have electrified models on sale with the i3 and i8. Recently, BMW has come out with more EVs with cars such as the i4, i5, i7, and iX. The automaker has also started to fit gas-powered cars with mild-hybrid systems for improved fuel economy.
Technology has also become a focal point with BMW. Its iDrive infotainment system debuted with the 2001 7-Series and has since progressed to the iDrive 8.5 system, which can be displayed on screens as large as 14.9 inches. The current 7-Series is available with a massive 31.3-inch 8K display for rear passengers that folds into the roof when not in use.
