2023 Fiat 500X Review

The 2023 Fiat 500X is a four-door subcompact SUV with seating for five people. It’s for drivers seeking a small SUV with unique styling and standard all-wheel drive (AWD).

All 500X SUVs have a 1.3-liter 4-cylinder with 177 horsepower. A 9-speed automatic transmission sends power to all four wheels.

This Fiat has attractive styling inside and out, with a retro look on the outside that sets it apart from the typical small SUV; it’s a good choice if you want a vehicle with distinctive design cues. This theme carries over into the cabin, which features cheerful rounded control panels and bright body-colored accents.

This SUV’s standard AWD is a plus. This feature, which helps improve traction in rain and snow, costs extra on many SUVs, but it’s standard equipment on the 500X.

This Fiat does, however, have some downsides and won’t be ideal for all drivers. Its cargo space is below-average for its class, at just 14.1 cubic feet behind the backseat and 39.8 cubic feet with those seats lowered. The backseat is also small, so it’s not a good pick if you need to ferry more than a couple of adults. Also, the 500X has a firmer ride than many rivals.
