About the Dealership
Howard Buick-GMC has been a family owned dealership for more than 50 years. Howard Zazove, for whom the dealership is named, started in the automobile business in 1945. With 18 years of experience, Howard opened his first dealership in 1963. In 1975 he opened Howard Pontiac at the current location, 364 W. Grand Ave, in Elmhurst.
In 1978, the “Howard’s Mother Loves You” television campaign debuted; which started the tradition of giving customers chocolate chip cookies when they purchased a car. We continue this tradition today, to show our appreciation to every customer. Though the campaign has not been on television for many years, it is still how the Howard dealership is best remembered.
