Dishonest unethical and horrible!!
I would give NO STARS but that was not an option. I saw an internet ad without a price and invited to email the dealership which I did and got a return email which said the car was in transit and I would be notified when it was available. I received another email a few days later indicating the car was now available and given a list price and invited to call to set up an appointment for a test drive. I called the salesman and told them their quoted price was too high at which time I was given the internet price which was $1204 cheaper. So I made an appointment and drove with my wife 140 miles from Prescott. After being greeted I questioned the salesman about financing options and was advised that they worked with 30-40 different finance companies and they would get us the very best possible rate, especially considering our FICO score over 830. After the test drive with the salesman, an Assistant Sales Manager got involved and took over the negotiating. WE were advised that a S.W.A.T GPS chip was installed in the car, a Theft Deterrent System was installed which included a traceable numeric code either embedded in the windows or labeled on the door panels, and Auto Butler Premier Paint Protection had been applied. We insisted that we did NOT want any of these extras and after a couple of HOURS of back and forth we reached an agreed upon price without these add-ons when the Sales Desk Manager Mac McPherson finally relented and said that:the dealer would pay the mechanic to remove the GPS chip. The Assistant Sales Manager also agreed that the other add-ons would not be part of the final deal and we would get the car for the internet price quoted to induce us to drive down. It was now five hours since we left home and had not gotten anything to eat and were both becoming light-headed due to hypat 20 minutes to hard sell us every conceivable type of extended warranty coverage, even though we told him we were simply not interested. He finally gave up and then place a decline offer paper in front of me to sign. He then WITHOUT ANY EXPLANATION slid several other papers in front of me concerning the SWAT GPS, the Theft Recovery System, and the Auto Butler paint protection. I mistakenly thought I was again declining the coverage of these add-ons. He then proceeded to completely ignore us telling him about a favorable financing option at 2.99% with OneAZ - which ahs offices all over the state and several in the metro Phoenix area, including their home office - and wrote the financing agreement with Capital One at 4.25% telling us that it didn't really matter because we were probably going to re-finance the loan with our lender anyway. Being worn out and just wanting to end the whole unpleasant ordeal, I made the mistake of going ahead and signing the sales papers without carefully checking them over. We then left and drove 140 miles back home. The very next day when I want to the local OneAZ to start the refinancing I discovered that ALL OF THE THREE ADD-ONS had been added to the deal despite their agreeing to removed them. I called the Assistant Sales Manager and advised him of what had happened and he agreed that the deal was incorrectly finalized and that he would get it corrected and to give him a day or two since thew Sales Manager Mac McPherson was tied up in meetings and off the next day. When I didn't hear back on the third day I called and was then told that the Assistant Sales Manager was no longer employed there. I then asked for and spoke to the Mac McPherson the Sales Manger, who bemoaned the fact that he should never have agreed to the deal at the internet price and that he got his rear chewed out by the General Manager for doing so and that he was just being too soft-hearted because my wife and I are both retirees and have driven all the way from Prescott. When I pressed him for the deal we had agreed to and requested that they refund the difference he kind of laughed at me and said that was not going to happen because that was their profit and that they . could not sell cars profitably at the so-called internet price. Without intending to do so and without realizing it, he basically confirmed that the internet pricing is a come on and virtually a scam. After several heated conversations he finally agreed to refund $430.12 for the GPS system but would not honor the deal we had made and refund the cost of the other two add-ons. I have now refinanced the loan at a favorable rate and love the car. I have two major regrets: first, I am certain that an honorable employee lost his job trying to rectify a wrong knowingly committed by other unscrupulous individuals; and second, that I ever got involved with this dealership - the sales management and finance manager are the most unethical, self-serving people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I have bought and/or leased 25 cars or more (and this is my fourth Mazda) in my 55 years of driving, and this was without question the worst experience ever - Mazda should be ashamed to make such a fine product, only to have it sold by such a bunch of dishonest hooligans. I will probably never buy another Mazda because of this disaster and I would advise any potential buyer to BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP AND ITS PHONY COME-ONS WITH FRAUDULENT PRICING AND TOTALLY UNETHICAL BEHAVIOR!!! I will also write a detailed letter to Mazda Corporate headquarters advising them of the horrible behavior and unethical selling practices of this dealership.More

Had a problem with a rear tire losing air. They checked all of the tires and found that both rear tires had punctures that couldn't be repaired. Replaced both tires under the tire warranty and fixed a minor recall having to do with a rear hatch bolt. Friendly and efficient service.More
