High Pressure Sales and selling defective vehicles - Salesperson was untruthful on Carfax information
Sales person was very nice and considerate, although I was given a high pressure sale on a vehicle that I really wasn't interested in The transmission was defective, on the vehicle that I traveled a long distance to view, drive and purchase.. I am a female mechanic and my salesperson obviously understood I knew my business. I was pressured into buying a same year model, but different make. I survived Hurricane Florence but my Buick Enclave did not - thus the reason for vehicle-shopping. I briefly test drove the Chrysler Aspen, was assured that the vehicle was in good mechanical and body condition, but during the test drive I noticed a very distinctive unbalanced steering and tire(s) instability I was assured (by the service dept.) that the vehicle needed a tire rotation service and balancing of tires, and that would 'fix' the issue. I was also told, by the sales person that the Aspen was a one owner vehicle (the Carfax showed me otherwise). If I had not been in such a dire need of another vehicle to replace my damaged vehicle, I would not have purchased the Aspen. On the long drive home with my 5 year old grandson, the engine began emitting unusual noises, and engine not running smoothly. Upon my destination home, late at night, I parked it, for the night. I made my assessments: engine, fluids, etc., the next day. All fluids were low. The oil stick was not even touching the oil in the engine. I used a longer oil stick, to discover the oil was a 'milky color'. (Any mechanic can tell you, that this discovery is very bad). I've since had the Aspen towed to a Service Repair Shop, and the Aspen is still currently awaiting engine repairs. Shame on you, Autopark Chrysler Jeep. You took advantage of me in a dire situation, as I had just lost my vehicle and a large part of my home due to Hurricane Florence, and you were aware of my situation. I purchased the Aspen 'As-Is' ... So legally ... I have to 'bite-this-bullet' !!! - I would NOT recommend Autopark Chrysler Jeep, to ANYONE.More
