Used Toyota Reviews

2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
3 / 5 stars
Bought the FJ for the ability to drive on the highway or in the toughest conditions. I haven't been let down ever! I have driven in 8inches of snow with white out conditions,2ft of mud and thru 12inches of river or more, All-4 wheel drive is a great feature. I have read that visibility is a concern but added cat eyes on both mirrors and have none to date. If you do a lot of freeway driving or a diehard manual customer choose manual 6 speed if not Auto. Worth every $$

A sport utility vehicle (SUV) is a popular truck-based vehicle with a large, people-friendly cabin. Sport utilities range in size from small to full-sized and seat up to eight people, depending on configuration. At one time, SUVs were the best-selling segment of trucks, but that has since waned with the advent of car-based crossovers (also called crossover-SUVs). The term "SUV" is sometimes used interchangeably with "crossover," but in the industry SUV generally refers to a body-on-frame (truck) style utility vehicle whereas a crossover refers to a unibody (car-based) vehicle with higher ground clearance and (likely) an all-wheel drive (AWD) option.

The SUV segment remains popular, with automakers competing in both the standard and luxury markets. Vehicles like the Toyota 4Runner, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Nissan Armada, Ford Explorer, and others all vie for attention in this segment. Crossovers include the popular Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, Kia Sorento, Subaru Forester, and Nissan Rogue.

The Toyota 4Runner is a midsized SUV with a long provenance in the offroad and utiltt market. It sells with several package and model options, including an offroad-oriented, family-friendly, and base model. Its reputation for reliability and relative low cost make it a popular SUV.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the longest-running sport utilities on the American market. With a history for rugged capability and a new appeal to entry-level luxury buyers, the Grand Cherokee enjoys a good reputation and strong resell record.

The Nissan Armada is the carmaker's largest SUV and has enjoyed a steady market share and customer base since its introduction.

The Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV that began as the SUV version of the F-150 pickup truck and eventually grew into a model all its own with a popular following in the U.S.

The Honda Pilot has often been in the top-sellers list for the crossover segment, and for good reason. It sports a combination of reliability, capability, and ergonomics that set standards for the segment.

The Toyota Highlander is the company's newest entry into the family-friendly crossover segment. As a midsize offering, it has a third row option, a large cargo area, and a reputation for being a family favorite.

The Kia Sorento is a long-running and well-liked crossover in the midsize segment with a newly-minted reputation for delivering value for the dollar and a growing resell retention.

With the Subaru Forester, likely the first true crossover offered in the world, the company hit on a winning combination of utility and capability while retaining the Subaru reputation for reliability and fun.

The Nissan Rogue is one of the newest crossovers offered by the company. It enjoys a reputation for being fuel-efficient, capable, and family-oriented.
