2008 PORSCHE CAYENNE
I bought this Cayenne to replace my Range Rover. I use it mainly to drive from Denver to the Summit County ski resorts on I70. Anyone who has made this drive knows that you can sit in traffic for hours so comfort was a major consideration as was the performance on snowy/icy mountain roads. This Cayenne far exceeds my Range Rover Callaway Edition in every aspect of performance and comfort. I could not be happier with this purchase.
2006 PORSCHE CAYENNE
Bought this car for daily use and for trips up to 200 miles. It is as close to perfect as a used car can be. The only thing I had to order for it is a cup insert. It will need new front tires in another couple thousand miles. Excellent car and excellent price.
2008 PORSCHE CAYENNE
I believe if you're willing to pay the price for the premium equipment, the 2008 Cayenne really does take some remarkable steps forward
2012 PORSCHE CAYENNE
Have owened Porsche in the past . The quickness, handling and the feel of the road were key factors. The cayenne is a twin electric motor hybrid. The transition from electric and mechanical motor is seamless.
2009 PORSCHE CAYENNE
I bought the porched Cayenne GTS because it has a manual transmission. I will use it as a daily driver and for towing my track car. This car is a beast!! Luxury and capability at its finest.
2006 PORSCHE CAYENNE
Love this car! I wanted a medium size suv thats also fun to drive. I got the base model with tiptronic, which should be much better on maintenance than the turbo charged engine. Make sure you have the car checked out thoroughly, because repairs can be expensive, especially if you go to Porsche. I found trans fluid "wicking" up into the trans control unit - seems like it will be manageable... Only other suggestion I have is go to 2008 if you can, and get the back up camera... Enjoy!
Used Porsche Cayenne Information
The Cayenne is the epitome of a luxury SUV. A mid-size luxury crossover with sports-car performance and off-road ability, the Cayenne was Porsche's break through into the SUV market and has proven successful since the inception. Introduced to the market in 2002 with North American sales beginning in 2003, it has been earning awards and ranked highly among mid-size luxury crossovers and SUV since. Since the introduction, the Cayenne has continued to be a respectable SUV not only among top car and driver experts but both sports car and SUV enthusiasts as well. Another great thing about this vehicle is that it can serve as a family vehicle and/or an SUV alternative for the sports car enthusiast.
There are six models offering including base, Diesel, S, GTS, Turbo and Turbo S. Additionally, there is a hybrid model offered as of 2010. The engine in the basic model is a 2.6 liter V6 engine with 300 horsepower and a six-speed manual transmission, with an eight speed automatic option available as well. The most talked about characteristics include its all-wheel-drive system, sharp steering and excellent brakes.
The model was fully redesigned in 2011 and revealed at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show after being revealed digitally earlier in 2010. The newer model was built to be visually shorter and smaller than the first generation Cayenne. The second generation however has more curves and a more slanted rear window with a less upright windshield. The second generation model is lighter and more fuel efficient than the first generation. The interior is made of top notch materials and is top notch quality. Both front and rear seats recline, as well as move forward and back for versatility and the ability to maximize cargo space. Inspiration for this vehicle comes from previous models such as the Carrera GT, the Panamera and has a shared platform with the Volkswagen Touareg.
Most recently, Porsche introduced a 'facelifted version' of the second generation Cayenne at the Paris motor show in July of 2014. With focuses on fuel efficiency and styling changes, as well as, some internal and external cosmetic changes as well. The reveal also included a new hybrid version with even more gains to fuel efficiency with their plug-in technology.
The Porsche Cayenne competes with luxury SUVs such as the Land Rover Range Rover Sport, Acura MDX, Mercedes-Benz M-Class, BMX X5 and the Lexus RX350.
