Used Nissan Rogue Information
The Nissan Rogue is small crossover utility vehicle with a nice interior, great handling and a high-quality finish. It is a distinctive crossover that stands out from the crowded segment with upscale styling features.
In designing this small, muscular crossover, Nissan used its Sentra-sedan platform as a starting point. The result offers a passenger-car like ride with nimble handling â the essence of what a crossover should be.
Complementing the great ride is an upscale interior and exterior fit and finish. Compared to other older crossovers, used Rogueâs offer upgraded materials more in line with its upscale Infiniti lineup. Also, the exterior fit and finish of the body panels is something that isnât seen in an entry crossover like the Rogue.
The âInfiniti-likeâ comfort and fit and finish are big bonuses which override the downside of not having a V-6 option or a conventional automatic transmission. The Rogue comes only in a 2.5-L 4-cylinder (170HP) and a continuously variable transmission. It does come with a front-wheel or all-wheel-drive option.
The fuel economy of the FWD is EPA estimated at 23/28/25 (city, highway, combined) while the AWD drops to 22/27/24 (city, highway, combined).
In Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, the Rogue achieved "Good" ratings for frontal and side-impact protection with a second-best "Acceptable" for roof-strength. Government frontal crash tests gave it four out of five stars.
Nissan redesigned the Rogue in 2014 with a new look, optional third-row seats, more technology offerings and slightly better fuel economy. The engine, transmission and handling are unchanged.
It is offered in three trim levels: S, SV and SL. The main differences are technology and interior material offerings.
For used Nissan Rogue buyers looking for an upscale crossover with a non-upscale price, the Nissan Rogue is a solid choice.
