2011 HYUNDAI SONATA
Great car so far (2 months) with a few minor issues: (1) friction sounds from the interior joints of where the dash meets the sides of the car when going over humps or slightly uneven surfaces, (2) brake light comes on when the parking brake is not engaged (requires restarting the car for it to go off), and (3) when first starting the car in the morning there is a fairly loud engine noise like metal vibrating at a high frequency but it goes back to sounding normal after the initial startup stage where a car is at higher rpms until it drops down a bit ready for driving.

2003 HYUNDAI SANTA+FE
I bought it for my growing family. I don't drive often but when I do, it helps get me and my girls where we need to go. AC works great but whoever drove it was a smoker.

2006 HYUNDAI SONATA
Clean, like new. Low enough mileage. Personal use & locally to work. Sunroof, comfortable seats. Definitely look at the car fax, I found cars with mileage turned back, accidents & repeat problems. Helped me find the right car.

2006 HYUNDAI SONATA
This car is solid as for protecting one in an accident (for my teenage son). It runs well and has only one maintenance issue. The break lines were severely corroded and had to be replaced to the left rear wheel. Otherwise, it runs like a top and to date, has been an excellent investment. I am happy with it.

Used Hyundai Information

Hyundai was founded in 1967 as a South Korean auto manufacturing concern and is part of the Hyundai Motor Group, which also partially owns Kia. Hyundai entered the North American market in 1984, beginning in Canada with one car before entering the United States in 1986 with the Excel followed by the Sonata.

Although largely known for its affordable, value-oriented vehicles, Hyundai has begun overhauling its image after the decade-long and very successful industry-first 10-year, 100,000-mile warranty it offered on all of its vehicles. By 2004, the company had won a second place rank in the coveted Initial Quality survey by J.D. Power and Associates.

Hyundai has many popular models in production as well as a well-deserved reputation for quality and long-term reliability in its cars after the initial problems in the late 1980s. Few vehicles can rival the Hyundai brand's deserved reputation for longevity.

Popular Hyundai sedan models include the Accent, Elantra, Genesis, and Sonata. Most of these are commonly seen on the secondary market and will sell well. The Elantra and Sonata are often seen with high mileage and a good price with a lot of life still left in them.

Crossover models in the Hyundai lineup include the Santa Fe and Tucson, which have been staples and high-sellers in the company's line from early on. So much so that the experimental hydrogen fuel cell vehicle Hyundai has fielded and is now selling in limited markets is a Tucson crossover.

Although Hyundai participates in motorsports, perhaps the most popular of its sports cars is the Veloster, which is a small hatchback that competes in the entry-level sports car segment and enjoys a reputation for fun and affordable excitement.
