2005 HONDA ODYSSEY
We love this car. The attention to detail, the ride and comfort are excellent. Previous owner did not treat the leather with conditioner, just a little bit would have gone a long way. Overall, very pleased.
2006 HONDA ODYSSEY
My family of five needed space and dependability. The Honda Odyssey beautifully provides both. This 8-seater minivan rides like a car and has the luggage space to get my college students (and their classmates) back and forth with ease. You will not be disappointed.

2001 HONDA ODYSSEY
Very nice car but unfortunately transmission went out shortly after buying it (used, 120,000 miles). Transmission problems were fairly common for this car.

Used Honda Odyssey Information
The Honda Odyssey is the company's minivan. Originally conceived of as an MPV, a class of small people movers in Asia, it grew into a larger minivan through demand from the American and Canadian markets. From 1999 forward, the Honda Odyssey sold on the North American market was made specifically for sale here. It is known as one of the premier family minivans in the segment and from the second-generation forward (1999 to present), it has been a top seller.
Most Honda Odyssey vans have a six-cylinder engine, an automatic transmission, and seating for six or more people. The Odyssey introduced fold-into-the-floor third row seating and has consistently had high crash test ratings. The second-generation also won the Edmunds.com Editor's Most Wanted award from 1999 to 2003 in the minivan category. This reputation was marred by a class action lawsuit in which Honda settled and agreed to extend warranties on the sometimes problematic transmission in the 1999-2001 models of the van.
Used Honda Odysseys for sale from the third generation were introduced in 2005, a slightly larger minivan from the previous generation. Added safety systems, more airbags, electronic stability control, and split-bench seating were introduced as standard. Engine power also increased as was a fuel economy. The third-generation Honda Odyssey was top pick in the Consumer Reports 2005 Annual. Four trim levels were offered in the third-generation: LX, EX, EX-L, and a top-level Touring. A slight refresh in 2008 updated some of the Odyssey's styling and interior refinement.
The fourth- and current-generation Honda Odyssey was introduced in 2011. It features more forward-looking style and a curved, tapering roofline that de-accentuates the "square box" look of most minivans. Now made in Alabama, the Odyssey is full of modern conveniences and technology and is considered one of the most luxurious minivans on the market today. The current-generation saw a refresh for 2014 to update to a six-speed automatic transmission, exterior styling refinements, and a revised front fascia as well as a much-touted built-in vacuum system in the Touring Elite model.
Both the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) give the current-generation Odyssey top marks for crash test safety.
