I bought the 2005 Ford Focus ZX-4, using, in part, the Carfax information which showed the car was a one owner car with an excellent history and was well maintained. It's a great car for my college bound daughter. Great service

Very good gas mileage and in range stated. Manufacturer / Dealer had to repair seals clutch assembly causing slipping soon after purchase. Otherwise vehicle has performed better than my expectations: quiet, smooth ride for size. Basic model without MyTouch or Sync.

Bought this 2002 with low mileage based on friends who had good luck with them. Mileage is decent 29 -32 all around, and ride is good. Plenty of passing power with the 4 cylinder power plant. The only draw back has been handling issues on ice & snow.> the back end floats and it is un-nerving to say the least. Replacing the upper rear control arms helped some but then an anti-sway bar was added which hopefully solved the problem. Some of the 2002 (ours) did not come with a factory sway bar. Mechanical issues have been none. We have 57K miles on it. I will update this winter (we live in Montana) on whether the handling issue is resolved. We will be trading it if not.

It is a good car. Pickup is rough in the beginning compared to Honda & Toyota.

2002 ford focus wagon. I bought this car for a second vehicle in hopes the gas mileage was as good as my 2004 ford focus. It it has 80 thousand kms on it. I'm impressed buy fuel mileage. 40 litres allows me about 440 kms . Slightly less then the other focus I had. It doesn't have as much power or zip but the extra too it has for my dogs and my mountain bikes it's worth it. I luv the roof rake. It allows me to carry my kayak or canoe without difficulty. I do a lot of hwy driving and commuting for activities. So far so good. But I've only put on 6000 kms and it's not winter yet. I suspect I'll be buying so Some studded tires. But so far it's been worth the money.

It was my first car. Over the course of 7.5 years i put over 100k on it. I never had any issues, the car ran great the entire time. It was sporty and a lot of fun to drive. The heated seats were a godsend. I drove it all over from California to North Carolina. I was able to folks down the back seats for storage and fit all my possessions in there on several occasions. I miss my focus and if I could afford to have a car in San Francisco I would buy another in an instant.

Terrific car, bought one new in 07 and one used this year and am happy with both. The only issue I have with these cars is a "clockspring" issue in the steering wheel that gives airbag failure codes. Seems to be an issue with this car. Other wise it has been a good trouble free car.

This Station Wagon was purchased via Cash (something I would not have considered without the Very Accurate history on this vehicle...) This vehicle was Very Obviously garaged for the better part of 3 years prior to my purchase. It only had 108K miles (which the CF Report stated and was verified upon seeing the car.) It was in Very good shape for a 13 yo car. I got it for below blue book. I simply would not consider buying a car in the future without a CarFax report. There are other players in the Car Report field, but I wouldn't refer to them as competitors. CarFax clearly shined in my car search.

We looked at a lot of cars in my daughters cash price range. This one was by far the best condition. It has a branded title but that was from over 10 years ago and the same owner has had it ever since so it didnt bother us. For a 15 year old car its in great condition and i feel good about my daughter driving it. I feel like we got a good deal.

For the short time I have had this car; I am really enjoying it. I have always owned sedans and decided it was time to give a wagon a try. The focus wagon is super roomy; I can easily fit my bicycle in the space along with other gear. I camp and hike, so the space is really welcome. The trim level on the car is brilliant, leather, sunroof and a few other features that create a comfortable experience.

Bought the car for my granddaughter for a college commute car. I can't believe the number of crooks out there selling used car. Carfax keeps them honest. This was one of the few cars that actually matched the Carfax report.

We bought the car because of low mile 79K. Had to work out a few bugs from sitting (granny car). low miles & one owner was the reason for purchasing

Reliable, attractive car. Second one I have owned. Roomy. Has a wide array of extras and options including a factory subwoofer. This particular car was in excellent condition inside and out.

We bought it because it had good long term satisfaction and quality ratings. It is used for my neice to commute to colledge in. Good basic car. No problems.

It's a very good car,and the carfax helps me to know the situation of this car, which help me decide to buy this car. everything is in good condition, and need no repair.

I bought the 2005 Ford Focus ZX-4, using, in part, the Carfax information which showed the car was a one owner car with an excellent history and was well maintained. It's a great car for my college bound daughter. Great service

Bought this car for my Florida vehicle but no soon got it home and found a much more suitable vehicle for Florida. Nonetheless, this car would have suited my needs but was but I found it a good home for a college student that I'm sure will get years of dependable driving from this Ford Focus.

Looked in good condition, son uses it for school. Has a sun roof heated seats. SES Model 3 door Hatchback Runs Great.

Used Ford Focus Information

The Ford Focus was one of the Ford Motor Company's first global vehicles. It debuted in Europe in 1998 and came to the United States in 2000, eventually spreading to most of the globe. It's the world's best-selling vehicle model (as of 2012) and replaced several of Ford's compact car models being sold ad hoc at home and abroad, including the Ford Escort, Laser, and others.

The Ford Focus is a compact four-door sold as either a sedan or a hatchback. The company's goals with the car were to unify its compact offerings into one model globally and lower costs through massive economies of scale. The plan worked. The first-generation of the Focus proved widely popular in Europe and other markets and eventually caught on in the U.S. as consumers began looking for entry-level vehicles with high fuel economy and better versatility than most compact cars had offered up to the late 1990s.

By the time the second-generation came around, Ford had begun to wonder what to do in the American market and dropped the hatchback variants in favor of a coupe and sedan. This made the North American Focus a different car from its international counterparts and proved a bad choice when sales figures were considered. The 2011 introduction of the current-generation reversed that and returned the Ford Focus to its global roots, making it an instantly popular choice among American new car buyers.

The Ford Focus is favored for its sporty nature, low cost, and award-winning looks. The vehicle has been popular enough that special edition variants have been introduced variously as the sport-tuned ST, the battery electric Ford Focus Electric, etc. Several engine options, including fuel-efficient EcoBoost engines, were introduced to the car.

The Ford Focus has become one of the most-recognized Ford cars internationally and a best-selling model for Ford after its F-150 pickup truck in the United States.
