2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I over use this truck often. I have overloaded it accidentally on many construction projects, dump runs, picking up rock and concrete blocks I ran across the scale over 10k pnds a couple times!! My wife is comfortable driving it to pick up compost for her garden with its size and maneuverability. I drive it every day. Plus it gets comparable fuel economy to my old Ford Ranger and my friends Toyota trucks. It's amazing I have owned many trucks, and even though this one has 165k miles it even hard use before I purchased it, had 5-owners and damage. I never intended to own it this many years, however I am comfortable to continue driving it reliably a few more. Even though I can afford a new one I will keep it a while more. I will buy another Silverado when that day comes. My only advice is a mechanical inspection before purchase you don't want one owned by someone like ME.

Used Chevrolet Information

Chevroletis the mainstream brand of General Motors (GM). Founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and ousted GM founder William C. Durant, the company was eventually used to exact financial revenge on GM when Durant used the company to acquire a controlling stake in GM in 1918. Chevrolet has been the volume leader in the GM family since and now sells as a brand globally. Chevrolet is often referred to as Chevy or Chev.

In the United States, Chevrolet is one of the Detroit 3 automakers (the others being Ford and Chrysler) and participates in motorsports globally, including NASCAR, Tudor United SportsCar, FIA World Touring Car, and the British Touring Car Championship.

As a marque, Chevrolet is home to many long-running models in automotive including the Camaro, Corvette, Impala, Suburban, and many historic models that are highly collectible today such as the Bel Air and Corvair.

On the used car market, many Chevrolet vehicles are to be seen, from compact cars to full-sized pickup trucks and SUVs.

The Chevrolet Aveo has become the Sonic and was previously the Metro under both the Chevy and Geo brands. This subcompact car is one of the most popular small cars on the global market and is praised for its fuel efficiency and "right size." Similarly, the Chevrolet Cobalt, while discontinued in 2010, is still a fast-seller on the used market.

Another popular compact car from Chevrolet is the Cruze, which began selling in 2008 and has been a popular car since thanks to its competitive pricing and size for the segment.

The Chevy Malibu is a long-running sedan in the midsize segment and is a popular choice for used car buyers because of its reputation for longevity and ease of maintenance.

The Chevrolet Caprice was a popular law enforcement vehicle from 2011 forward in the U.S. and sells on the secondary market thanks to its souped-up engine and nondescript looks to bely that performance.

Another popular Chevrolet full-sized sedan is the Impala and the former Lumina, both of which are noted for their big size, well-made interiors, and excellent ride comfort.

While the Corvette and Camaro are sought-after collectibles, their newer model years are also found often on the used car market. These iconic American cars are well-loved for their performance and style.

Many Chevrolet sport utilities are also popular models on the used market, including the Equinox, Suburban, Tahoe, and others. In trucks, the Chevrolet Express van, S-10 small pickup, and Silverado pickups are a common sight on the road.
