Used Chevrolet Impala Rating

I needed a newer car due to an accident that damaged my former car and repair cost were higher then the car s' value. It was a Chevy. The price was right for a used car, it was in good condition mechanically and asthetically. The rear seat that folds down for more cargo room with the trunk. The very comfortable bench front seat, with additional lumber support is great for someone with back pain issues My advise is to look on line to see what is available in local used stock and get the stats together, then go out and look at your choices. My insurance agent gave me some real valuable lead on where to look also.

Bought this car to replace a 230,000 mile van. Feels like we're driving a limo! (of course most any car would). Drives well, handles fine, A/C and Heat are impressive for a 160,000 mile car. Wish the engine had a bit more pep (we have the basic 3.4 liter engine) and also wish the milage was better, but hard to complain about a good solid reliable car. And you can't possibly beat the vast amount of trunk space!

I bought my 1996 Chevy Impala SS because it has been my dream car since I was 12 years old. It is a work in progress, but I honestly haven't driven any of my other vehicles since purchasing my Impala. Its comfortable, reliable, powerful and gorgeous. I wouldn't trade it for the world. My advise for people in the market to buy a vehicle is, always take someone who is knowledgable about cars with you. And make sure they're a person that has nothing to loose or gain by you purchasing a car. That way they'll be honest and you will have a better chance at coming out on top with your purchase.

I love my Impala, in '93 when I first saw the car, I wanted one! I couldn't afford it at the time, so I scrimped and saved until I had enough for a down payment. I ordered mine from the factory; and waited, and waited. Eighteen years later, and 196,000 miles. I still love it. It's extremely reliable; for the most part all I've done is replace the wear parts - brakes, tires, oil, filters, shocks, hoses, gaskets -that kinda stuff, after 195,000 the water pump finally gave up the ghost; while it was off, I replaced the plugs; wires, cap and rotor. I did a compression check; and all 8 were within 5 lbs of each other- amazing! It does't use oil between changes (every 5k) I run royal purple synthetic. The car looks great car. runs great. goes fast and settles down for a compfortable cruize. gets pretty good mileage for a big car 21mpg.
