A 3-series sedan is large enough to carry four people in comfort (which, on occasion, is necessary). Large enough but not too large. Just right! Handles well and relatively good on gas. There's a number of reasons the BMW 3-series is a segment leader.

BMW 3 Series Information

Accounting for 30% of total global sales, the BMW BMW 3 Series is the best-selling BMW. Debuting in 1975, this compact executive car has gone through six generations and in five different body styles.

Introduced as a two-door saloon, this four-cylinder model was a safe, sensible car with interior that was rounded off and padded.

Over subsequent generations, BMW launched a coupe in 1991, a convertible in 1993. A six cylinder diesel engine in 1985, and in 1986 the first all-wheel drive 3-series was produced.

The E46'—the fourth generation of the 3 series'—was introduced in 1998 in saloon version only. A station wagon, convertible and coupe models would be eventually added. This four-cylinder, all-wheel vehicle was the highest selling car in 2002 and was named as one of Car and Driver'’s '“10 Best Cars'” from 1999-2006.

In August of 2006 the E90 generation hit the market in both a saloon and touring model. Available in either a four or six-cylinder engine, but later versions of this car'—the E92'—used a V8 engine. This generation was also the first to offer a turbocharged engine, and was considered more reliable than any other 3 series before it.

Finally, debuting in 2011 the F30 is the current 3 series model. Available with either a six-cylinder petrol, a four-cylinder turbochard, or, for the first time, a hybrid engine, the F30 is available in hatchback, Touring, and Turismo.

Standard Features:
