2014 Jeep Wrangler Description
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler is a compact, two-door sport utility vehicle and is also sold as the extended-wheelbase four-door Wrangler Unlimited. Available as a 4x4 only, the 2014 edition is sold in Sport, Sahara and Rubicon editions with sub trim levels available.
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler has one engine offering, a 3.6-liter V6 engine that generates 285 horsepower. It is also the sole engine offered in the Wrangler Unlimited. This engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission.
All Jeep Wranglers take regular grade gasoline and make an EPA-estimated 17/21 mpg city/highway with the standard model. Choose the Wrangler Unlimited and this model is rated 16/20 mpg city/highway with the automatic transmission and 16/21 mpg city/highway with the manual transmission.
The 2014 Jeep Wrangler seats four; the Wrangler Unlimited holds five. Standard storage capacity measures 17.1 cubic feet, expanding to 56.5 cubic feet with the rear seat folded. The Wrangler Unlimited offers 31.5 cubic feet of storage capacity, expanding to 70.6 cubic feet with the rear seat folded. The standard Wrangler has a 2,000-pound tow rating; the Wrangler Unlimited tows 2,000 pounds or up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with a towing package. The Jeep Wrangler comes with halogen headlamps, fog lamps, off-road tires, 16-inch wheels and tow hooks. This model is equipped with 12-volt outlets, a six-speaker audio system, a tilt steering column, cloth seats, and a sport bar.
Upgrades to the 2014 Jeep Wrangler include: aluminum wheels, Rubicon shocks and stabilizer bar, side steps, power heated side mirrors, rock rails, lamp guards and a trailer-tow package. Also available is keyless entry, a 115-volt power outlet, air conditioning, power windows and door locks, an upgraded audio package, navigation and a security alarm.
