2014 GMC ACADIA
We bought it to handle our family needs now & future. We use it for family trips & errands & my wife's daily vehicle. Comfortable ride & seats. Less blind spots compared to Enclave & Traverse. Good power & handling. Seats 7 well, but is not a good 8 person vehicle. Storage limited if transporting 7 people. Be ready to pay $550 plus per month on this type of vehicle.

2014 GMC Acadia Overview
The 2014 GMC Acadia is a three-row midsize SUV. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available. The 2014 Acadia is sold in three trim levels: SLE, SLT and Denali. Seating for seven is standard with seating for eight available.
All GMC Acadia models are outfitted with a 3.6-liter V6 engine making 288 horsepower. This engine comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The Acadia takes regular grade gasoline and is EPA-rated at 17/24 mpg city/highway.
Standard equipment includes projector beam headlamps, daytime running lights, a luggage rack, a rear spoiler, all-season tires and 17-inch wheels. Keyless entry, ambient lighting, air conditioning, SiriusXM satellite radio, an auxiliary input port, USB ports and 10 to 12 cup holders are included.
The Acadia SLT brings in fog lamps and aluminum interior trim. The Denali edition makes available 20-inch chrome-clad wheels and leather seats. The Acadia Denali also brings in chrome touches to the grille, body side moldings, side mirror caps and the rear fascia.
The GMC Acadia provides multiple packages and upgrades for further customization. Black roof rack cross bars, chrome wheels, power-adjustable side mirrors with turn signal indicators and a power liftgate are available.
Also available is three-zone climate control, an upgraded audio system with a rear DVD display, a navigation system, a 10-speaker Bose audio system, heated driver and front passenger seats, power-adjustable front seats and a two-panel sunroof.
The Acadia seats seven or eight, depending on whether the second row features a pair of captain's chairs or a bench seat. Interior room is generally very good, but best with the seven-seat arrangement. The third-row seat is best used by children.
Standard cargo volume measures 24.1 cubic feet. With the third-row seat folded, cargo space measures 70.1 cubic feet. Maximum cargo capacity expands to 116.1 cubic feet behind the first row, which is very good for a midsize SUV. Maximum towing capacity is 5,200 pounds.
In crashworthiness testing conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the 2014 GMC Acadia achieved top marks in four categories: moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints & seats. The Acadia is outfitted with a collection of air bags, stability and traction control, a rearview camera and the OnStar telematics system. Forward collision alert, lane departure warning and a head-up display are available.
