First Ford I have purchased in many years. Drives and rides nice. Electronics "SYNC Microsoft" not user friendly. Had to take it to the dealer for a "hard reset" just so I could set the time and date. Would not buy another one with the SYNC system.
Ford has a hit on its hands with the 2014 Ford Escape. The Escape is a popular small crossover SUV, with lots of technology features, including the Ford MyTouch infotainment system, and now backup camera as standard at all trim levels. Used car buyers won't find the SEL trim level, which was dropped. Based on the frame of the Ford Focus, the compact Escape is smaller in size that the Ford Edge SUV.
2014 Escapes are available with four different engine sizes: A base 2.5L 4-cylinder as well as a 1.6L engine and 2.0L turbocharged engine. There are three trim S, SE and Titanium.
