2014 Buick Enclave Overview
The 2014 Buick Enclave is a premium, three-row SUV. This model offers standard front-wheel drive, available all-wheel drive and is sold in Convenience, Leather and Premium trim levels.
The 2014 Enclave offers one powertrain combination: a 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. This engine is rated at 288 horsepower. The Enclave is EPA-rated at 17/24 mpg city/highway and takes regular grade gasoline.
Seven or eight occupants can ride in the Buick Enclave. Standard bucket seats are up front with a pair of bench seats in the second and third rows. That second-row seat slides forward for easy access to the third row.
All Enclave models come with a long list of standard equipment, including daytime running lights, automatic headlights, a power liftgate, power-heated side mirrors, painted aluminum wheels and all-season tires.
This model also comes with three-zone climate control, an IntelliLink infotainment system, SiriusXM satellite radio, OnStar, an auxiliary audio input port, two charging ports, cruise control, a tilt and telescopic steering column and keyless entry. This model comes with a pair of USB ports on the rear portion of the center console. Four interior colors with complementing wood tones can be selected.
Upgrades and special packages bring in a 10-speaker Bose audio system, heated and cooled front seats, touch-screen navigation, voice recognition, rear headphone jacks, a rear-seat DVD entertainment system and a power tilting sunroof. Also available are articulating headlamps, side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators and chrome-clad or painted aluminum wheels.
Cargo space measures 23.3 cubic feet behind the third-row seat, which is about average for three-row crossovers. Fold the second- and third-row seats and there is 115.2 cubic feet of storage capacity.
In crashworthiness testing conducted by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Buick Enclave achieved top marks in four categories: moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints and seats. All models come with seven air bags, traction and stability control, a rearview camera and panic brake assist.
