2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA
Great gas mileage............the car runs well for a four-cylinder engine and at the same time I am getting between 30-35 miles per gallon, sometimes higher on long highway trips. Great investment for me considering I was driving a truck that got at best 13 miles per gallon.

2013 HYUNDAI ELANTRA
Love the car. Replaced a 2003 Hyundai Elantra with 185,000 and loved it as well. Have had the this 2013 Elantra fro a couple of months and we love it. Have taken it on a couple a short trips and the mpg's was a little over 34 mpg...which was great as far as we are concerned. For my wife's needs, it's perfect.

I bought a 2013 Elantra GT and I love it. Great warranty, drives like a dream, and is an amazing value (it's loaded and a comparable Subaru or VW or Honda would have been waaaaay more -- and not as awesome.

Great car for around town and trips as well. Roomy interior, large trunk, comfortable an easy on gas. Comes with XM radio installed.

I have only had this car a month but so far its a pleasure to drive. The styling is the strongest feature followed by the interior with its leather seats.I will know more about it when I take a 1000 mile trip to Fla. in two weeks.I own a 2010 Elantra and it is a good car so a 2013 should be better.

2013 Hyundai Elantra Overview

After the Sonata, the Hyundai Elantra is the longest running model name for this Korean manufacturer. It is a compact, front-wheel drive model and offers a rarity in this segment: three body styles '€” sedan, hatchback and coupe.

With room for five, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra brings value and generously appointed cars to the small car segment. The sedan is the favored body style among consumers, and is offered in GLS and Limited editions.

One engine, a 1.8-liter four-cylinder making 148 horsepower, is offered. Hyundai pairs it with a five-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The top fuel economy for the 2013 edition is 28/38 mpg city/highway. The Elantra takes regular grade gasoline.

Handling is average for the Elantra, which means that it is eclipsed by a few models in this segment, including the Mazda3 and the Ford Focus. For optimum drivability, the similarly sized Hyundai Veloster might be considered.

Hyundai packs the 2013 Elantra with numerous standard and available features. This model may come equipped with all-season tires, alloy wheels, a power moonroof, heated mirrors, power accessories, a tilt and telescopic steering column, an auxiliary input jack and an iPod interface. Upgrades bring in steering wheel-mounted audio controls, illuminated vanity mirrors, Bluetooth, fog lamps and heated front seats.

Choose the Elantra Limited and this sedan is equipped with or offers larger wheels, a power driver's seat, leather covered seats, keyless entry and push-button start, a rearview camera, zoned climate control, touch-screen navigation with voice control and an upgraded audio system.

The Elantra's interior is surprisingly roomy, rivaling what some midsize sedans offer. Although seating is excellent for four, a fifth person sitting in the back middle position will do just fine. The Elantra also offers one of the largest trunks among any small car, measuring 14.8 cubic feet. The 60/40 split-folding rear seat offers a pass through to the trunk, further extending this model's storage capacity.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra earned Top Safety Pick+ recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This model comes equipped with six air bags, an anti-lock braking system with brake assist, traction control and stability control.
