We wanted a convertible that could seat 4 for purely fun summer driving. It's not intended to be an everyday vehicle yet we wanted something that *could* be suitable for year round driving in the Midwest if need be. The hard retractable top is what makes the Eos perfect for us!
The back seat is super tiny - so it's not suitable for anyone who regular has 3 or 4 passengers. I'm not sure car seats would even fit back there! The hard top is sizable - and retracts into the trunk- so trunk space is limited when the the top is down! I have to say it's roomier than it seems- shallow but deep.
The Bluetooth streaming on the radio doesn't work which seems to be a common issue in 2010 VWs of all makes. You can talk on the phone thru the Bluetooth just fine, but I can't seem to get the phone menu functions to work. The auxiliary jack is also iffy - it didn't work well when we used an apple lightning adapter- it lost contact off and on. Using an older model iPod nano works much better- no need for an adapter-
but still slightly glitchy. The sound quality improved greatly w/out the adapter.
The power mirror switch was inoperable when we test drove the car. The prior owner had it fixed for us. A few days later, I went thru the car washer and realized that the joint of the hardtop leaks slightly - right on the switch! So, you may want to check the switch & the hardtop joints for leaks!
