Purchased the vehicle almost a month ago. I was in a car accident which left my previous BMW a totaled mess. My insurance rates were threatening to spike if I didn't secure a vehicle within a certain time period, which added to the pressure of my search. I had been looking at several RWD/AWD, manual trans. bimmers and decided on this one. It was a risky buy as it was a prior salvage title but also about 1/9 the original sticker price, so I went for it and it has worked out ever since. So far so good, although I am quite cautious about my cars in general. Best advice is to look for the vehicle that suits you, know what you want. The further you can isolate the aspects of a car that you are primarily interested in the easier your search will be. But don't mess around with prior salvage/rebuilt vehicles unless you are prepared to do a little extra research and have multiple mechanics take a look at the vehicle, thoroughly, before moving ahead. Also, make sure to drive the vehicle around a little bit, test it out, all of it's features, see if anything is not to your liking or is non-functional, get your hands around the wheel and see if you could be happy driving this vehicle for a long time.
