Use it for home health care. Very comfortable to drive. Large enough to feel safe and plenty of room inside and in trunk. Bought it used one owner 118000. Hoping to get another 100000 out of it. Smooth ride.
Bought this as a first car for our daughter. Drives perfect and transmission/engine seem solid. All power options still working without a flaw.
2002 TOYOTA CAMRY
Best car i ever own. Bought it used in 2004 with 26K on it.
Though it was a 4 cylinder it had big acceleration ability and soft ride. In its prime was getting 34 MPG on the road and 24 in town. Did all the prevent maintenance myself, so I knew the car well. Only two weakness and neither of these was a show stopper.Alignment adjustment nuts freeze-up if not anti-seized properly. So when you take it to an alignment specialist make them move them and apply anti-seize of some sort.
2nd the evap-canister is in a God awful place so when the check engine light comes on telling you the canister or its valves are probably failing, there is no way a regular shade tree mechanic can replace it. Car has to be on a lift in a shop with a mechanic with a lot of tools.
Outside of those two things none of the issues which befell the 2004 to 2012 Camry's ever touched this car. If you can find one with 80 to 140K buy it and be prepared to find tune just a few things. This car is a reliable work horse and should have lasted forever, if not for the t-boning it took at the hands of the careless driver in the other car.
