Honda Recalls 2014: List of Major News

In November 2014, Honda issued recall notices on some model year 2001-2006 Honda and Acura vehicles originally sold or registered in 13 U.S. states and territories that consistently experience high humidity. 

June recalls included replacing one or both front driver's and passenger's airbag inflators in some Civic, CR-V, Odyssey, Accord, Element and Pilot models. 

In May, Honda recalled certain Odyssey vehicles regarding the side curtain airbag system on some 2014 models. 

Honda Takata Airbag Recall Information

Honda currently has recalls open for airbags manufactured by Takata. Vehicles first sold or registered in high humidity areas such as Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands are part of the recall as high humidity has been identified as one of the problems for some Takata airbag installations.

These models are some of the ones that are affected:

  • 2001-2007 Honda Accord with 4-cylinder engines
  • 2001-2002 Honda Accord with V6 engines
  • 2001-2005 Honda Civic
  • 2002-2006 Honda CR-V
  • 2003-2011 Honda Element
  • 2002-2004 Honda Odyssey
  • 2003-2007 Honda Pilot
  • 2006 Honda Ridgeline
  • 2003-2006 Acura MDX
  • 2002-2003 Acura TL and CL
