Used Mercedes-Benz S Reviews

2011 Mercedes-Benz S
Bought it for my Limousine Service. Unbelievable Car! Clients love it - features and amenities outstanding. So smooth and comfortable. I hope it is a durable as my 2006 cars have been.

The Mercedes S class series is designed to be Mercedes-Benz's top-of-the-line presentation, and the 2014 S550 and the S63 AMG are truly in keeping with that expectation. Car and Driver quotes Mercedes CEO Dieter Zetsche's slogan, "…wellness on wheels…" The test drivers not only whole-heartedly agreed with that assessment, but also agreed to describe the S550 as a "salon on wheels … a veritable spa with four seats offering six varieties of massage functions including the divine new hot stone rubdown."

The optional Intelligent Drive package includes a driver's assist feature that will actually drive for you with all mechanical functions, and allow you to roll hands free for up to 16 seconds at a time before it nudges you to jiggle the wheel with a bong sound. The car just wants to know that you are still awake. If you do happen to get drowsy, the car will automatically apply the brakes on one side if it drifts over a solid line, and correct itself back into the lane.

The posh interior features include notably bright and clear monitor graphics and a fuel gauge that informs you of the amount of fuel is left in the tank by number and percent, and an assortment of seven interior ambient lighting accent colors including red sunset, which taints the cabin in exceptional hues of pink which exude from every seam of the interior.

The optional Executive package equips the spacious, luxurious leather rear seats with setbacks that recline 43.5 degrees, and have calf supports that arise, and an airbag in the bottom to prevent the occupant from sliding under the seatbelt in a collision. The Magic Body Control package includes windshield mounted stereoscopic cameras to scan the road ahead for bumps and adjust the suspension accordingly.

The Mercedes-Benz S Class has not yet been rated by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Safety features include: front and rear ventilated four-wheel disc brakes, panic brake assist; hill hold, body colored power heated auto-dimming side mirrors with power folding and turn signal indicators, programmable Aero-composite LED low/high beam daytime running directionally adaptive lights, high beam headlamps with delay-off function; power tilt and telescoping steering column, electronic stability control, ABS and driveline traction; side impact beams; dual-stage driver and passenger seat-mounted side airbags, and PARKTRONIC front and rear parking sensors.

Car and Driver conducted test drives in both the elegant S550 and the rocket-like S63 AMG. The reviews that the test drivers wrote for these exquisite sedans are as exhilarating and inspiring as the drivers were after their adventures. These Mercedes S reviews are great reads, and are highly recommended.

I viewed a Mercedes Benz S430. After driving the car I decided it ran and looked good enough to make an offer. I obtained a CARFAX Report for this vehicle and promptly discovered it had last been registered at 210,000 miles. The odometer read a tad over 80,000 miles! Needless to say, I did not buy the vehicle.
