The Mazda CX-9 is available in three different trims: Sport, Touring, and Grand Touring. All three trims come standard with the same engine, a 270+ horsepower, 3.7-liter V6, and a six-speed automatic transmission.
The base trim, Sport, has 18" alloy wheels, three-zone automatic climate control, a tilt and telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth®, and a six-speaker sound system. Upgrading to the Touring trim will add front seats with heat and power, luxurious leather upholstery, monitoring systems that include blind spot and rear parking, along with a rear view camera. The top trim level, the Grand Touring model, has larger alloy wheels, high intensity xenon headlights, windshield wipers that automatically sense rain, a powered rear lift gate, memory settings for the driver's seat, and keyless ignition and entry. Options on all models include a Bose® stereo system, towing package, and rear seat entertainment. On-board navigation and sunroof options are included on the Touring and Grand Touring trim models.
Seven passenger seating is standard on the Mazda CX-9. While third row seats are typically crowded in SUV's, the CX-9's can hold three adults comfortably. Third row headroom is limited though and access to the third row is fairly easy with the latch. When the second and third rows are folded flat, the CX-9 can carry 100.7 cubic feet of cargo.

Noteworthy About the Mazda CX-9
- The Mazda CX-9 was introduced in 2007 and received a substantial update in 2013 with new front and rear styling as well as new interior design and a new 20" wheel design for 2014.
- This is Mazda's largest vehicle, with the AWD CX-9 weighing in at 4,559 lbs and 200.6" long.
- The current CX-9 adds a standard rear cross traffic alert on the Touring and Grand Touring models. This feature is especially helpful when backing out of busy parking lots.
- In addition to folding, the second row bench seat slides, reclines, and offers easy access to the third row. This feature makes passengers more comfortable and increases cargo storage. There is even a hidden storage compartment under the floor large enough to stash a laptop case, camera bag, a few purses, or a shopping bag.
