USED LEXUS LS OWNER REVIEWS
So far, so good. No questionable noises, leaks, or smells. Rides smooth. Very comfortable. Doesn't appear to be a gas hog, but I haven't taken it very far yet. Looks good. Feels good. Am riding on a cloud.
The 2014 Lexus LS series is made of seven models that represent various packages of exterior and interior options. These are: the base model LS 460 ($72,140), the LS 460 AWD all wheel drive ($75,085), the sporty LS 460 F Sport RWD ($80,490), the LS 460 F Sport with all wheel drive ($82,945), the extended length LS 460 L RWD ($78,440), the extended length LS 460 L AWD ($81,925) and the hybrid model LS 600h L AWD ($120,060). All are equipped with a direct fuel injection 4.6 liter V8 engine, except the hybrid, which carries an even more generous 5.0 V8 capable of 432 horsepower that will take you from zero to 60 in 5.6 seconds. The 8-speed automatic transmission is designed for smooth shifting. The hybrid is also an extended length LS; its dual electric motors to boost power for faster exceleration but don't to much to improve gas mileage, other than earn the car a Super Ultra Low Emissions Vehicle (SULEV) rating.
The LS series has long been recognized as Lexus' flagship vehicle. When searching for a used LS, it is helpful to know when the car received major redesigns. 2012 marks the most recent generation, when the distinctive "spindle" grill appeared, along with a new hood, bumpers, and other stylings. All wheel drive became available on the AWD trims in 2009. Bluetooth connectivity arrived for 2010.
Some of the comfort features that you will enjoy include: four-zone climate control, including rear overhead ducts; leather-trimmed steering wheel, leather-trimmed instrument panel, steering wheel mounted audio and cruise controls; wood-trimmed climate and audio controls in the rear-center armrest, and so much more.
The Lexus LS series was given a rating of Good by the IIHS for moderate overlap front and head restraints and seats. Know that 2009 and older LS models the rating for head restraints and seats is only moderate.
The Lexus LS series is packed with innovative safety features, including: an a security system that disables ignition, four-wheel ABS disc brakes with brake assist, traction control, electronic stability, front and rear anti-roll bars, four wheel independent suspension, front and rear parking sensors, occupant sensing airbags, dual front-side airbags, overhead airbags, and knee airbags; other safety features include power adjustable front head restraints, tilt anti-whiplash front head restraints, and perimeter approach lights.
