Used GMC Sierra 1500: In Depth

Model Overview

If you want a rugged truck without sacrificing comfort and convenience, the Sierra 1500 is an ideal choice. Triple door seals, improved aerodynamics, and a valved exhaust system all work together to keep cabin noise to a minimum. Shear body mounts and a hydraulic powertrain cut down on vibrations and provide a smoother ride. Driver-controlled technology, including hill descent control, traction control, and a trailer brake controller, all work in unison to ensure optimum control no matter the conditions.

The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 features an exterior design upgrade with a full box, high-strength steel frame, stronger and larger axles, projector headlamps, chrome grille surround and bumpers, and 10 body color options. In addition, corner steps built into the rear bumper for better bed access and optional bed-mounted LED lights have received praise from critics and drivers alike.

The interior's center console allows the driver to work on the go, with enough space to stash a laptop, a tablet, and file folders. Dual-density seat foam, improved rear-seat legroom, USB ports, and 12-volt charging outlets also help ensure that both driver and passengers have everything they need while on the road. IntelliLink features an 8-inch customizable color touch-screen, voice command, Bluetooth connectivity, smartphone integration for hands-free calls and phone book access, Pandora streaming capability, HD radio, and the ability to save albums, songs, artists, destinations, and contacts.

I found a 2009 GMC Sierra for sale on a vacant lot. So I did the CARFAX and it showed that the truck had been wrecked a few months after it was bought new. I went a week later and bought a New GMC Sierra SLT.
