USED FORD F-250 OWNER REVIEWS
This is their super duty with the 6.4L diesel (twin turbos & exhaust cleansing system so the truck is smokeless). Factory installed towing system w/computer controlled braking. Newly installed Curt 161515 ES sliding hitch (never been used) in short bed. Truck purchased to tow our newly purchased 37 ft (14,000#) RV 5th wheel trailer...The truck is in pristine condition which is why I bought a 2008 rather than a new truck (and saved a small fortune).
Part of the Super Duty family of Ford trucks, the F-250 trims include the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. With the proper equipment the F-250 can tow up to 14,000 pounds and has a maximum payload capacity of 4,240 pounds—needless to say, these trucks strive to set the standard for super duty vehicles.
The XL features include a manual telescoping trailer tow with power-heated glass and heated spotted mirror. The XLT, with an MSRP starting at $30,035, steps up a bit with chrome steel front grille and rear bumpers. The next level up, the Lariat, includes ESOF 4WD system and fog lights in addition to the aforementioned amenities. The King Ranch includes additional exterior features like front and rear accent color with step pads, 6” illuminated cab steps, and a chrome insert on the grille. Lastly, the Platinum includes 6” angular chrome cab steps.
If you are a techie you will appreciate the inclusion of the SYNC connectivity system. SYNC allows you to place calls and stream music from your smartphone using steering wheel-mounted buttons or voice command. It can also help you keep your eyes on the road by reading your incoming texts and, with a MyFord Touch upgrade, you can enhance your hands-free experience with everything from voice command climate control, navigation, and sound system.
All four models are available with a crew cab but only the XL and XLT models are also available with a regular cab. The XL, XLT, and Lariat also include a super cab option. The Regular cab has two doors and a single row of seating, the Extended cab has a small second row, and the Crew cab has four doors and an expanded rear cabin area. All of these options can be fitted with either a 6.75- or 8-ft. bed.
