USED CHEVROLET CRUZE REVIEW
The 2014 Chevrolet Cruze comes in 6 models: LS, 1LT, Eco, 2LT, LTZ, and the new for 2014 Cruze Turbo Diesel. The 2014 trims boast a new headlight design which wrap around the front at a sharp angle above the front fenders, gives an otherwise steady design a splash of modern style. There are four new exterior colors but otherwise no major updates have been made for this year’s models compared to last year. No major redesigns have occured since the car's 2011 introduction.
If you’re looking for nice lines and that easily-recognizable front face of the Chevy brand, then you won’t be disappointed. The base trim LS has a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine and lots of features that are standard including air-conditioning, power mirrors and door locks, a 6-speaker sound system, keyless entry, a tilt and adjustable steering wheel, OnStar, 10 airbags for protecting front and back seat passengers, and a 60/40 split rear seat. Just because you're buying a small car doesn't mean you can't have all the bells and whistles. Wheel sizes ranged from 16 inches to 18 inches.
- The LT steps it up a notch with a 1.4-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, a more sophisticated exterior design, as well as goodies in the interior like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, extra storage, and cruise control.
- The Eco trim adds onto the LT features with a “mild-hybrid” powertrain, MyLink and audio streaming, revised styling that increase aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, as well as a rear spoiler and 17-inch alloy wheels.
- The LTZ comes with an automatic transmission and an upgraded interior and exterior with stand-out features like heated exterior mirrors, backup camera, fog lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, automatic climate control, and remote engine starting.
The Cruze is available with an RS Appearance Package for the LT and LTZ which includes upgraded front and rear designs, rocker moldings, and a rear spoiler. Comfort and convenience options that you would normally expect with larger and more luxurious cars include blind spot monitoring, heated leather seats, a power-adjustable driver seat, Bluetooth connectivity, parking sensors, a rearview park assist camera, a navigation system, and Pioneer premium audio system with MP3 connection. Through SiriusXM satellite radio you can stream Pandora or Stitcher SmartRadio.
